NiQA is a method for measuring the voice quality of live customer traffic or to make test calls without a reference voice in the far end. This is perfect for international calls where reference voices are hard to achieve. The system makes accurate predictions over a wide range of network distortions.

Only one measurement point is required for monitoring speech quality under real conditions and usage patterns.

NiQA’s calibration database includes a wide range of network conditions and impairments including:

• Transcoding
• Noise
• Mobile Network Errors
• Clipping

In addition to the ITU MOS score the NIQA Voice Quality also measure Speech levels, Noise levels and SNR.
